How to use these prompts

Pick one prompt, answer it and stop when you've said the true part, even if that's after one minute. Rotate between the sections so your entries don't all sound the same. Five minutes is a ceiling, not a target. Dawn Light shows a timer while you record, so you can see how long you've talked.

Questions about five-minute journaling

How many words is a five-minute journal entry?

About 650 words at an unhurried 130 words a minute, and about 750 at 150. The speaking time calculator works it out for any length.

Is five minutes enough to journal?

Yes. A short entry you keep doing is worth more than a long one you skip. Some days one minute is plenty.

Five minutes, one entry

Tap the sun, answer one prompt and tap Done. Dawn Light shows the timer while you talk and keeps every word as a dated entry.
